We got the email on a Monday morning. Immersive Fox has been selected for South Summit 2025, taking place in Madrid from 3–5 June.
We have been to startup events before. This selection feels different — and the reason is worth explaining.
For most of our history, we described Immersive Fox as an avatar-video platform: upload a script, generate a personalized video with an AI avatar, send it at scale. That was accurate. It was also limiting. As AI tools proliferated in 2024 and early 2025, “avatar video” became a feature category, not a company positioning.
In mid-2025 we pivoted. The new framing is AI-powered upskilling — we help organisations turn their knowledge into interactive, multilingual training experiences that run without cameras, studios, or production teams. The avatar video capability is still there; it is now one expression of a larger mission.
Pivots are uncomfortable from the inside. You rewrite the deck, update the website, rehearse a new thirty-second answer at every dinner, and spend weeks wondering whether the conviction is genuine or whether you are simply tired of the old story.
The honest test of a pivot is not internal alignment. It is whether people who have never heard your old story say yes to the new one.
A selection committee at South Summit read the AI-upskilling pitch cold — no context, no relationship, no memory of the avatar-video company. They said yes. That data point is worth more than any internal workshop or investor debrief.
Until an external system validates the new positioning, a pivot is a hypothesis. After it does, it becomes the company.
We will be in Madrid on 3–5 June, representing Immersive Fox’s AI-upskilling platform to investors, enterprise partners, and workforce innovators from across southern Europe and beyond.
If you are building workforce AI, L&D technology, or enterprise training infrastructure and you will be at South Summit — send us a message. We want to meet.
